UPDATE: We Won!! While we were not able to send anyone from the LA team to accept the award, Gehrig’s sister lives in London and graciously agreed to accept on Springbok’s behalf. For someone who does not know much about VR and has not yet seen the finished project, she did an incredible job representing THE 100% and we cannot wait for the physical award to arrive in LA during the Holidays next month. Congrats to all!!
It is with extreme pride that we would like to announce that our volumetric VR experience “THE 100%” has been selected as a finalist for the VR Social Impact Award in the VR Awards 2019! We are eager to attend and obviously hope to win, but it really is an honor just to be nominated next to all of the incredible projects in our category:
- BBDO DUBLIN – RSA CONSEQUENCES
- Vulcan Productions – X-Ray Fashion
- Force Field Entertainment – Anne Frank House
- VR Galactig – Dementia Yn Fy Nwylo I / First Hand
- VILD Studio – CHILDREN DO NOT PLAY WAR
- Vulcan Productions – Ghost Fleet VR
- East City Films – Common Ground
- Oculus For Good & Mercy Ships – Mercy
- Visualise, Don’t Panic & ICRC – The Right Choice – ICRC
The ceremony is in London in November, so there’s quite some time to go between now and then but we’re champing at the bit to see how we do. This is the latest announced nomination for THE 100%, but there are a few still to come very soon!
